Out of the mouth of a 5 yr old
So my mom gave me a gift card to lane bryant for my birthday. I took Alex with me to get clothes because he's usually good in most stores. I'm in the clearance section looking at shirts and Alex is pointing out all the pretty ones when all the sudden he notices the lady next to us (probably my height and weight just carries most of weight in midsection). He points out in the loudest voice possible that" the lady ate way too much food and her tummy is too full." As I'm dragging him away as quickly as possible because of the horrible glare we were receiving he precedes to say also at maximum volume that "it's ok mommy she just needs to potty and go poo poo and she wont be bigger anymore". As if it couldn't be any worse a quick giggle escaped my mouth before I could catch it. Shame on me.

He was only telling the truth. Better than some of the kids at school who ask me why I'm so fat. I love alez though, he's so sweet.

I hope our talk was helpful to you, Christiane. Let me know what you decide to do. I know you don't like the idea of medication but sometimes too much knowledge gets in the way of common sense. Try the meds for a few weeks and if its not helpful you can get off the medications and try something else. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Call or email me and we will talk.
